Woman Rescued In Alpharetta House Fire Passes Away

Yvonne Crisp, 52, passed away after she was pulled from a fire that engulfed her home around 6:30 a.m. June 28.

The woman who was rescued from the fire that engulfed her home Saturday morning has passed away.

Yvonne Crisp, 52, died from her injuries after she was rushed to the hospital after she was rescued from the fire that destroyed the home. 

An autopsy is planned for Monday to determine the cause of death, according to WSB-TV.

The fire broke out at a home located on Clipper Bay Drive around 6:30 a.m. June 28.

By the time Alpharetta firefighters arrived onto the scene, the home was fully engulfed in flames and was eventually destroyed. According to the news station, the woman was on the phone with 911 when she lost consciousness and was found in an upstairs bathroom.

Firefighters were able to rescue the woman inside, and she was rushed to an area hospital in critical condition.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
