A water main break on Tuesday afternoon caused traffic snarls and businesses to close early because they lacked water, but repairs have been made to the pipe.

UPDATE OCT. 19: Alpharetta spokesperson James Drinkard said in a release today that periodic lane closures will continue on a portion of Mansell Road just east of North Point Parkway.

Water service has been restored to businesses and residents located along Mansell Road between GA 400 and Haynes Bridge Road, and along the entire Old Alabama Road Connector.

If live or work in that area and see discolored waer or have air in your pipes when first using faucets and fixtues, allowing the water to run for a brief time will fix the problems.
