Walmart Employee Charged with Taking $7,100 from Cash Register

The following arrest information was supplied by the Milton police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Braselton woman has been accused of the theft of at least $7,100 from the Walmart on Windward Parkway by ringing up fraudulent refunds at the store's Vision Center.

A Milton police incident report says the employee was spotted in store security video at the register and taking cash on 22 separate occasions between Sept. 4 and Nov. 6. The refunds shown on the register records for that time ranged from $184 to $446.

Ann Johnson, 48, of Lauren Marie Dr, Braselton, was arrested for felony theft by deception. She was taken to Fulton County Jail and later released on a $7,000 pre-trial release signature bond.
