Several Milton residents recently discovered someone had stolen items ranging from iPads to satellite radios from their vehicles while they were parked at their homes.

On May 25, Milton police investigated a theft from a vehicle at a Branyan Trail residence. The owner said her Subaru Legacy Outback was entered sometime overnight. she was missing her driver's license and iPad. She found the vehicle's doors unlocked when she checked it that morning.

A neighbor also reported someone stole an old digital camera from the back seat of the family's Chevy Suburban. The victim reported her son had parked the SUV in the driveway, but forgot to lock it.

When Milton police arrived to investigate, she told them her Georgia driver's license and a Wells Fargo debit card were missing from her wallet let in the car. The car had been locked, but the passenger window was left open enough so someone was able to unlock the door.

The victim said no charges had been made with the debit card so far, but she was unable to cancel the account at the time.

A Lecoma Trace address was the scene of two vehicles being entered to steal things. The couple's two vehicles had been left unlocked, and several items were missing. A set of Ping golf clubs valued at $1,500, some prescription drugs, a $500 watch, a $450 purse and $100 wallet, a debit card and a driver's license were among items reported stolen.

Two days before these thefts, an Autumn Close resident reported her daughter lost her iPad and purse to a thief when she had it parked at a friend's house in the neighborhood. The daughter wasn't quite 100 percent sure she locked the vehicle when she was at her friend's house.
