Vacant Home Burglarized, $12,000 in Tools, Household Goods Taken

The following arrest information was supplied by the Milton police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

More than $12,000 worth of tools, appliances and household goods were reported stolen from a vacant home at 15755 Day Road to Milton police on May 11.

The owner of the home said a shack on the property and a house at the rear of the property both showed signs of a break-in. A window was open to the shack, but the owner said she saw the window boarded up a week ago.

The investigating officer saw a hole in the wooden door to the home, which appeared to have been kicked in.

The ex-husband of a Merrywood Court woman was arrested for allegedly threatening his ex-wife and for DUI, but a nurse at the Alpharetta Jail refused to let him be held at the jail after jailers and officers heard him make what they called suicidal statements.

The suspect was taken to North Fulton Hospital and Milton police were to be told when he was medically discharged so he would face the charges against him.

When Milton police first arrived at his ex-wife's Merrywood Court home, they saw the suspect standing in the yard. The incident report said the suspect said "Y'all did a good thing by arresting me. I would have lit her....up."

Donald Davis was served with warrants on terroristic threats, a felony, DUI and DUI-Alcohol/less safe.
