Underage Means Under Arrest at Late Night Party in Alpharetta

Alpharetta police officers searching for three people who jumped out of a car after a traffic stop and ran found a bigger problem when they discovered a large party with many underage people drinking.

Approximately 22 people were partying at a house on Bridge Pointe Drive whe police arrived at 3:26 a.m. on Jan. 5. Several peple were on the patio outside the home and more were inside. Police could cleary see many open beer cans and bottles of liquor, according to a police incident report.

As officers arrived at the house, one suspect tried to leave the house and started swearing when an officer stoped him. Another person yelled at another officer, telling him he could not enter the house and tried to grab his arm. Both of them were arrested.

Another person tried to use his cell phone after being told he couldn't, and police say he made an aggresive move toward an officer and began to actively resist and fight. Other people in the home lied about their birth dates.

Ten officers responded to the party.

Fourteen underage residents between 17 and 20 years old were arrested for minor in possession of alcohol, with some of them also charged with obstruction or giving false information to an officer.
