Thieves Smash Car Windows to Steal Laptop, Backpacks

Several cars on Wyndham Farms Drive had windows smashed as thieves grabbed whatever they saw in the vehicles.
On the morning of June 13, a woman reported the theft of her work-issued HP laptop was taken from the right rear passenger floorboard. The window above the rear passenger seat of her Toyota Corrola was busted.
A friend of the first victim's lost only $10 in change in his front console, but he had left the doors unlocked on his Volvo S80
On the same morning, a Devonshire Farms Way resident wasn't as lucky. Taken from his two vehicles were two credit cards, a debit card, a laptop and some legal papers. Both vehicles had been left unlocked.
His debit card had already been used at a Decatur convenience store, one credit card had charges on it while another had charges denied on attempted purchases after it was stolen.
At around the same time, a Sun Valley resident reported to Milton police that someone had smashed the rear glass out of her Honda minivan. The only thing missing was one of her children's backpacks, which had been left on the back seat.
