Teens in Jail on Drug Charges After Homeowner's Call

The following arrest information was supplied by the Milton police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Laurel Grove Drive homeowner's suspicions about a strange vehicle he had seen in the neighborhood several times before appeard to be correct, as two 19-year-olds were arrestd on drug charges. The Milton resident had been the victim of a theft, so he was on the lookout for suspicious vehicles and people.

On July 19 at 3:55 p.m., Milton police received a call about a suspicious gray VW that had parked in the driveway of one of the homeowner's neighbors. Officers realized the vehicle fit the description of a car in reports from the department's Criminal Investigation Division.

The driver gave police permission to search the car, and officers reported finding a grinder with less than an ounce of marijuana in it. They also reported discovering three clear Zip Lock bags with what appeared to be mushrooms in them under the passenger's seat. A small bag that police said contained a white crystal like substance was found inside another bag under the passenger's seat. The substance tested positive as methamphetamine at the scene. The passenger identified some seeds as marijuana seeds, and the powder in the same bag as fertilizer.
