Teens Get in Trouble With the Law in DUI Arrests

Broken Tag Light Leads to Drug Arrests

A pair of Alpharetta teens were arrested on June 30 and cited with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute after being stopped for a broken tag light.

A Milton police officer spotted a car traveling south on GA 9 approaching Webb Road without a working tag light. When he stopped the car, the officer said he smelled marijuana coming out of it.

After the driver and passenger both claimed not to know anything about any marijuana in the car, officers found a clear plastic bag in the center console with suspected marijuana, and a blue mesh bag in plain sight of the passenger's side of the car.

Both teens were cited for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, while the alleged driver was cited for the broken tag light and driver's license restrictions.

Milton Teen on Way Home from Lake Arrested

Two Milton teens who said they were on the way home from the lake on July 2 were stopped by Milton police at 9:29 p.m. when the car they were in crossed the double yellow center lines as the driver turned right onto Freemanville from Providence Road.

The driver was charged with DUI, open container and underage alcohol possession

Milton Teens Cited Arrested After DUI Stop

Two Milton teens were arrested after a traffic stop on June 30 at 2:02 a.m. and cited with drug and alcohol charges.

A Milton police officer spotted a car slow down but not stop at the intersection ofย  Bethany and Providence roads, so he pulled it over.

The driver was cited with DUI, open container, possession of alcohol by a minor, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana and failure to stop at a stop sign. A female passenger was arrested for disorderly conduct and possession of alcohol by a minor.

Crossing Center Line Ends with Driver's Arrest

A Milton man was arrested and cited for DUI, failure to maintain lane and failure to update the address on his driver's license after a traffic stop on July 1 at 1:07 a.m.

A Milton police officer spotted a car driven on Cogburn Road that left its lane and was traveling mostly in the left lane before coming to a complete stop in the proper lane south of Francis Road.

Busted Headlight Puts Alpharetta Teen in Trouble with the Law

An 18-year-old Alpharetta resident was arrested on June 28 at 12:16 a.m. after a Milton police officer spotted the car she was driving had a headlight out.

Once the officer stopped her near the intersection of McGinnis Ferry and Bethany Bend roads, the driver told him she did not have her driver's license with her. She was cited for no driver's license, violating permit restrictions, no headlight and possession of alcohol by a minor.
