Teen's First Driving Experience Ends in Arrest

The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 17-year-old Roswell girl's first time driving turned out badly for her as she wrecked her car and was arrested for DUI.

A Milton police office was driving southbound on GA 9 when he encountered debris resembling a blown tire in the roadway. As he continued driving he saw more debris until he found a car parked and unattended half in the right lane and half in a private drive. He saw the front passenger side tire was damaged and the wheel was bent.

A young woman approached and told him she had struck a curb and tried to continue driving, finally having to stop. She went into Walmart to get help.
