Suspect Wanted in 5 Georgia Counties Arrested in Milton Burglary

A parolee who has served multiple sentences for burglary was arrested for allegedly committing the same crime at 'Cue Barbecue.

Milton police charged a man with a long history of burglaries in connection with a break-in at 'Cue Barbecue on GA 9 on Sept. 26.

The suspect, a 60-year-old parolee, is wanted in Lake City and Cherokee County, where arrest warrants have been issued. He is a suspect in similar crimes in Forsyth and Cobb counties, according to a release from Milton Communications Manager Jason Wright.

He was arrested in Atlanta by U.S. Marshals, according to Capt. Shawn McCarty of the Milton police department.

Officers suspect Samuel L. Mosley, a convicted burglar, broke into the restaurant through the back door using a crowbar at around 7 a.m. Β on Sept. 26. According to surveillance footage provided by the business, the suspect then rummaged through the bar and made his way to the back office, where he broke into a safe and stole $1,100.

He left just minutes before the first employee showed up for work.
Mosley left Telfair State Prison in late March after serving eight years for a 2003 burglary in Whitfield County, according to the release from Wright. That was one of four prison stints dating back to 1989.

Lake City and Cherokee County warrants and Forsyth and Cobb County incidents date back to April. Law enforcement officials are looking for any connections to similar crimes as far back as two years ago.

At the time of his arrest, Mosley allegedly was in possession of a 9mm handgun.
