Suspect Robs Milton Man Outside Apartment; Victim Gives Chase

The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A resident of the Camden Apartment complex on Summit Boulevard was robbed at knifepoint, according to a Milton police incident report.

The victim went out to his truck in the parking lot at 9:45 p.m. on Jan. 14. He had just taken his wallet out of his truck and turneda round when he saw a man behind him with a knife. The suspect asked him, "What you got there?" according to the indicent report. The victim assumed he was being robbed and handed the man $200 in cash.

At that point another suspect in a black Ford Crown Victoria yelled, "Come on Troy! Let's go!" and the first suspect ran to the car and the vehicle left.

Rather than immediately calling the police, the victim got into his truck and began to chase the suspect's vehicle, making it all the way to the I-285 interchange on Ga. 400 when he lost sight of the suspects. Only then did he call 911 and headed back to his apartment. He told the Milton officer he got caught up in the moment and didn't think about calling police until he lost sight of the suspects.
