Police, FBI Need Help Identifying Suspect in Islamic Center Incident

The FBI and the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety are jointly investigating the incident at the Rucker Road religious center.

The FBI and Alpharetta police want the public's help in finding the person who defaced the Islamic Center of North Fulton, located off Rucker Road in Alpharetta.

FBI Special Agent in Charge Mark F. Giuliano, along with Gary D. George, director of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety, made the request while releasing a sketch of the suspect today, June 6.

On Monday, May 27, at approximately 12:15 a.m., officers of the Alpharetta Police Department responded to a call at the Islamic Center of North Fulton at 1265 Rucker Road, Alpharetta.  .

Witnesses said they saw a man with a paint bucket and paint brush at the scene, and described him as a white male who was approximately 50-60 years old.  A Georgia Bureau of Investigation artist provided composite sketch of the suspect, based on those witness descriptions. The sketch accompanies this article and is being made available to assist in identifying the man.

The FBI and Alpharetta police are jointly investigating this incident.
