Short Drive into Flowerbed Puts Man in Jail on Drug Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Milton police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A Sandy Springs man was arrested on drug charges after driving into a Sable Court homeowner's flowerbed on the morning of July 19.

A neighbor said she saw the suspect get into a car four houses down and drive down the road. She turned her back and then heard a crash. Turning back around, she saw the car had wrecked in the flowerbed. She went to the wreck scene to see if the driver was hurt. When she got there, she told Milton police she saw a syringe in the driver's hand while he was still inside the car. The man tried to flee by driving away from the scene, but his car was stuck on a rock.

A jogger who spotted the wreck came up to the driver's window and he also said he saw a syringe in the man's hand.
