Police: Woman Drove Drunk With Children in Tow

Victoria Lynn Tucker was pulled over late Saturday morning after Milton police observed her driving erratically on State Route 9.

A woman was arrested Saturday morning for allegedly driving under the influence with three children in her SUV.

Milton police pulled over Victoria Lynn Tucker, 42, around 11 a.m. Saturday after they observed her driving "erratically" along State Route 9.

According to an incident report from the Milton Police Department, the Hyundai Tuscon failed to maintain lane on the highway near the intersection with Bethany Road.

"The vehicle veered all the way to the right hand side of the lane, crossing a solid white lane and nearly driving in the grass," the report states. "The vehicle then swerved back to the far left hand side of the lane, crossing a double solid yellow line."

The officer in the report wrote Tucker had issues opening her eyes, had an odor of alcohol on her breath, "had extremely slurred speech" and noted it was hard to understand her.

Upon searching her vehicle, police found an open plastic bottle of vodka inside the SUV, along with a brown paper bag and a receipt dated Oct. 5, 2013.

Tucker, who lives in Cherokee County, was booked into the Fulton County Jail annex in Alpharetta, and was charged with child endangerment and DUI.

The three children, one of which was her daughter, were turned over to other adults.
