Police Seek Alpharetta Costco Jewelry Smash-And-Grab Bandits

Investigators believe the same men may be linked to a similar crime at the Cumberland Mall Costco in Cobb County.

Police in Alpharetta and Cobb County are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a pair of smash-and-grab thieves who robbed area Costco Wholesale stores last month.

According to Alpharetta Police Officer George Gordon, the duo hit the 2855 Jordan Court Costco early in the evening on Jan. 2. Upon entering the store, the two black males “went directly to the jewelry display case,” where one pulled out a hammer and shattered the case. The two then fled with “thousands” of dollars worth of jewelry.

Gordon wrote in an email that upon examination of store surveillance camera footage, it appears as if the same men had been in the store earlier in the day scouting out the scene while hiding their faces with their hoodies.
