Police Arrest Alpharetta Bank Robbery Suspect

Peter McCutcheon is accused of robbing one bank in Alpharetta and other banks across metro Atlanta.

A man wanted for allegedly robbing a bank in Alpharetta and others across metro Atlanta has been captured.

Chamblee police on Monday arrested Peter McCutcheon of Cumming, who is wanted on robbing several banks in Alpharetta, Sandy Springs, Atlanta and Gwinnett County, the Sandy Springs Police Department said in a press release.

McCutcheon was arrested by Chamblee police on criminal trespassing charges. 

The suspect allegedly gave Chamblee police a false name until he was confronted by agents with the U.S. Marshal's Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, who positively identified McCutcheon.

McCutcheon was transported to Sandy Springs Police headquarters where he was interviewed by detectives and was later transported to the Fulton County Jail.
