Traffic Stop For Speeding Nets DUI Charge

A Marietta man was cited for DUI on July 18 after a Milton police officer spotted a vehicle driving faster than the speed limit on GA 9.

The officer stopped the vehicle at the highway's intersection with Genesis Way at 12:23 a.m. The driver was taken into custody and his car was impounded.

Milton Officers Find Cold Beer in Truck

A Roswell man was cited for DUI after a Milton police officer saw a pickup truck speeding on Arnold Mill Road.

The officer was checking for speeders at 8:45 p.m. when he saw the pickup truck drive by. Turning on his LIDAR speed gun showed the vehicle was doing 59 mph in a 45 mph zone.

After pulling the driver over, the officer tested him for DUI and then cited him for the offense and for speeding.

Officers found a case of still cold beer in the truck, with a few beers missing.

Window Tint Not Dark Enough To Hide

A Milton man whose car windows appeared to be tinted too dark was followed to his driveway by Milton police.

The man was cited for the excessive window tinting, suspended registration and for possession of marijuana when the officer found a small glass pipe with suspected marijuana in it.
