Milton Police Arrest Suspected Peeping Tom

The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 37-year-old Roswell man says he took a taxi to a Milton apartment complex where he was spotted by police outside a woman's window.

The victim called Milton police on May 12 at 1 a.m. to report she heard footsteps outside of her rear-facing apartment for the past half hour, and that her dog had been growling at the window

When an officer arrived, he headed to the rear of the apartment building. The officer said he clearly saw a man looking in the window of an apartment. When he said "Hey," the suspect jumped from the window and looked at the officer, who was in plain sight under a floodlight in uniform. The suspect turned and ran around the building, with the officer in pursuit. The officer reported he first shouted at the man "Police! Stop! Police!," but the suspect didn't. After he pulled out his Taser and told the man if he didn't stop he would be Tazed, the man finally stopped and began to cooperate.
