Milton Police Arrest Duluth Woman on Heroin Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Milton police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A motorist who failed to stop at an intersection ended up in more trouble when what Milton police say was heroin was found in her car.

A car traveling east on Serenade Court failed to stop at its intersection with Bethany Bend just before 4 p.m on Dec. 11. When an officer stopped the car on Bethany Bend, he reported it was displaying an expired tag. A check of the tag showed its registration was active, however.

The driver first told the officer she was going to work, and then said she went to a friend's house before going to work. That person is a known drug user and suspected drug dealer, the officer wrote in his incident report.

When the officer asked the driver if she would pull up her long sleeves so he could see her arms, he reported seeing a track mark on her left arm.

The driver said nothing illegal was in her car. When a K-9 unit arrived, the woman said there were drugs in the vehicle under the passenger seat. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle as well. An unused syringe and a small plastic baggy with a gray powder substance were found. The woman identified it as heroin.
