Has Your Debit Card Been Hit with Fraud after Target Data Theft?

A Milton man is a victim of financial card fraud related to the security breach.

The Target debit and credit card data theft already has hit home locally. A Milton man first got a letter from his bank telling him that his debit card information was among the 70 million taken in the data theft.

The letter from his bank told the local resident that his account number would be changed in 22 days. But when a bank employee called him about a $78.60 purchase made at a FedEx store in Tennessee, the process was given a higher priority. He hadn't made that purchase.

The bank employee told him to report the debit card fraud to police so the account number could be changed immediately.
