A woman checking out her vacant Hopewell Road home discovered major appliances and even the HVAC unit missing on Jan. 30.

Milton police noted in an incident report that the yard was not maintained and it appeared the home had been vacant for a long time. The woman confirmed this by telling them the items were stolen between Jan. 29, 2011 and Jan. 29, 2012.

A heating unit and hot water heater were missing from a utility closet near the garage, an air conditioning unit was taken from outside the home and a dishwasher and refrigerator were missing from the kitchen.

The victim did not have make, model or serial number information for the missing items.
