Milton Dad Lays Down the Law with Son Over Drugs

The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Milton parent got his son to admit to selling marijuana with the help of a city police officer who came to the home on July 24 to return a cellphone seized in a drug case against the teen.

The teen handed over homemade smoking devices, a digital scale, approximately 5 grams of suspected marijuana, $250 earned by selling the drug and in a job, plus a concert ticket.

After the father gave his son many rules and expectations he was to follow, the officer agreed to wait a week to decide what charges would be filed against the teen, in hopes that the teen would cooperate with police.
