Man Shot Outside Johns Creek Business

Victim survived; taken to Grady.

A man was shot outside , 9930 Jones Bridge Road, just north of Old Alabama on Friday night.

According to Rosemary Taylor, communications manager for the Johns Creek Police Department, 911 received a call for shots fired around 8 p.m. The victim, who was not at the scene when police arrived, was shot twice in the chest and leg. He apparently was driven to a fire station in Roswell before being transported to Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta.

Roswell Police called the JCPD to let them know the victim had been driven to Roswell. Detectives are investigating the incident.

I looked into it a similar report and was told there was a traffic accident and an arrest. Does this sound like what you saw?

There were literally a dozen or more cop cars-- including detective and sheriff vehicles from both fulton and forsyth... I don't know why a traffic accident would need that sort of response, especially since they were walking around with guns drawn.

The arrested 4 teenagers, 1 of whom fit the description of the shooter. That may have been why there were so many cars. The kids just lived in the neighborhood and had nothing to do with the shooting. They were released. Must have been a frightening night; imagine hanging out with your friends on a Friday night and getting arrested for a crime you didn't commit. Of course it's a whole lot worse getting shot so a bad night was had by many.

Here are the details I was able to get from police regarding yesterday's incident: http://patch.com/A-sG6P Not very detailed, but maybe I'll get more once I can get the official police reports.
