Macy's Accuses 60-Year-Old Woman of Shoplifting Underwear

The following arrest information was supplied by the Milton police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A 60-year-old Lithonia woman has been accused of shoplifting $2,283 worth of women's underwear from the North Point Mall Macy's store.

An incident report by an Alpharetta police officer alleges the woman used a shoplifter's trick by bringing an empty Macy's bag into the North Point Mall store, only to bypass cash registers on her way out after filling it full of the underwear.

Approximately 100 pieces of clothing were found inside the Macy's bag and her purse when a Macy's loss prevention officer stopped her just outside the store.
