Leaving Accident Scene Ends with Charges Against Milton Woman

The following information was supplied by the Alpharetta Public Safety department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A 20-year-old Milton woman was cited after an accident at the intersection of Windward and Deerfield parkways just before 5 p.m. on Dec. 2.

According to the driver of the other vehicle, he was driving west on Windward  through the intersection with a green light when another vehicle turned left in front of him. He was unable to avoid hitting the other car. Its driver left the scene.

When arrived on the scene, they found the car driven by the other person behind the Walgreens at the intersection, but not the driver. With the help of Milton police, they found her, the niece of the owner, at a Milton address, more than an hour after the accident.
