Juveniles Accused of Burglary at Villages of Devonshire

Detectives are investigating to find out if the two juveniles were connected to four other burglaries nearby.

Milton detectives are investigating to determine if two juveniles have been arrested on a burglary charge for a February break-in at the Villages of Devonshire were involved in four other recent burglaries in the Deerfield Parkway/GA 9 corridor.

Small electronics, a couple of guitars, iPods and similar items were taken in the February break-in, according to Captain Sean McCardy, public information officer for the Milton Police Department.

Detectives are examining property seized through a search warrant to determine if the youths' involvement went beyond the February break-in at the condominium community on Deerfield Parkway in Milton.

Milton Police Chief Deborah Harrell said detectives are investigating break-ins at the Orion at Deerfield Village apartments and Fairmont subdivision.

The youths, who are both under 17, cannot be identified according to state law. Both were taken to Metro Regional Youth Detention Center in Atlanta.

"I can't say enough how pleased I have been with the tremendous amount of time and effort our uniform patrol officers and criminal investigators have spent running down leads in this case," said Harrell. "I am extremely proud of their hard work."
