Free Child Seat Inspection Set For Thursday

Residents who are unsure if their child car seat is fitted properly can visit an Alpharetta fire station this week for a free inspection.

Alpharetta Department of Public Safety will host a free inspection from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, July 24 at Fire Station No. 1, located at 2970 Webb Bridge Road in Alpharetta.

Police officers and firefighters, who are also certified child seat safety technicians, will offer educational materials and provide instructions and guidance to the attendees. 

The purpose of the event is to educate to parents the importance of choosing, installing and properly using a child safety seat, the agency said.
