Firefighters, Police Raise Money for Public Safety Fund

Milton Public Safety Fair comes to Fry's on Friday and Saturday.

If you spot the Milton SWAT team at Fry's Electronics on Friday and Saturday, don't panic. It's all part of the Milton Public Safety Fund's fundraising efforts.

The Milton Public Safety Fund is a not-for-profit corporation that provides support for the city's police and fire services.

 The fundraiser will be held on May 13 and 14 in the Fry's Electronics parking lot, 3065 Webb Road, Milton.

 From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, police officers and firefighters will offer a hot dog and cold drink combo for just 50 cents. In addition to hosting the event, Fry's also donates all the food, drinks and grills, allowing all proceeds to benefit the MPSF, which in turn purchases needed equipment for the police and fire departments.

On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. there will be special events, including free blood pressure checks, demonstrations of fire extinguishing techniques, displays of fire and police equipment, a K-9 Unit demonstration and a SWAT team display.
