UPDATE: Missing Elderly Woman Found Safe in Alpharetta

Wanda Gaylor was located just before 6 p.m. Friday in Alpharetta.

Update: 10-12-12, 6:32 p.m.

Wanda Gaylor, 76, of Cumming, who was reported missing by her husband around 3 p.m. Friday, was safely found in Alpharetta, according to Karleen Chalker with the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office.

Gaylor was located just before 6 p.m. and the Mattie's Call was canceled.

No information was given as to where she was found or the circumstances that led to her disappearance. It was reported earlier today that Mrs. Gaylor made a gas purchase in the area of Haynes Bridge Road around 11:30 a.m.

The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing elderly woman.

Wanda Gaylor, 76, was last seen by her husband at their home in the Cambridge Hills subdivision off Hwy. 20 East around 7 a.m. Friday.

Mr. Gaylor said when he returned to the residence around 11:30 a.m. his wife and her car were missing, according to a press release.

He thought she had possibly left home to run errands, but when she had not returned home by 3 p.m. he contacted the sheriff's office and reported her missing.

Earlier today (Friday) around 11:30 a.m. it is believed that Mrs. Gaylor made a gas purchase in the area of Haynes Bridge Road in Fulton County, according to Karleen Chalker with the FCSO.

Mrs. Gaylor is described as being 5’3” tall, weighing 125 pounds and having silver mid-length hair. She should be driving a silver 2004 Cadillac DeVille with the Georgia tag number of BPQ 6538.

The sheriff's office reports that she does not have a cell phone on her, but does have a medical condition that makes locating Mrs. Gaylor a priority.
