Dump Your Old Drugs With Milton Police

The Milton Police Department will take part in the National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.

The Milton Police Department is asking its residents to turn over their unused prescription drugs.

The agency will participate in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration's National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, Oct. 26.

Milton officers will set up shop outside Target on Highway 9, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and offer an easy way for residents dispose of their prescription drugs.

Across the country, 371 tons of prescription drugs were turned in during the previous drug take-back day held in April, the DEA said earlier this year. That translates into more than 742,000 pounds of drugs collected at over 5,000 take-back sites.
