Callers Harassing Milton Man Claim to be Dunwoody Police

The following information was supplied by the Milton police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

A Milton man contacted Milton police after he received two calls from people claiming to be with the Dunwoody Police Department.

The victim reported the harassing calls on Nov. 22, only after giving the callers his full name, date of birth and Social Security number.

A Milton officer checked with Dunwoody, but that department had no record of the victim being contacted. When a Dunwoody detective called the number left by the female caller, the person answered the phone saying, "Dunwoody Police Department."
