Arizona Woman's Identity Stolen to Report Taxes in Milton

The following arrest information was supplied by the Milton police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

An Arizona woman reported on June 6 to Milton police that someone has fraudulently used her identity to report earning $49,000 in the last half of 2010 and the first quarter of this year.

The woman discovered the fraud when she reported to the unemployment office and they told her sha had those earnings. The company that reported the income as hers was AFR of Galloway Court in Milton.

The victim was advised to also report the fraudulent use of her Social Security number to the Social Security Administration. She had previously reported the fraud to her local police agency and the Alpharetta police.

 Attempted Burglary Wakes Up Homeowner

A York Cove resident reported an attempted burglary at her home at 11:26 p.m. on June 11.

The homeowner reported to Milton police that the home's burlgar alarm woke her up and she saw a man who resembled "the male from Sex and the City" at the door to her bedrooom as she woke up.

the man left, and she found a window to her patio was half open. Police found the lock to one of the windows had been popped off, and pry marks were apparent.

Underage Drinking

Two Milton residents were arrested for underage drinking on June 13 at 12:57 a.m. after one of them was found on a neighbor's porch covered by a towel.

Amy Marie Karschner, 18, of Alpharetta, and Logan Wilson Boylan, 20, of Duluth, were cited for underage drinking.

DUIs

Meighan Ackerson Jenks, 48, of  Alpharetta, was arrested at Galleon Drive in Milton on June 11 and cited for DUI and improper backing.

Anthy  J. Baracos, 32, of Sandy Springs, was arrested at the intersection of Webb Road and Morris Road on June 8 and cited for DUI and failure to maintain lane.
