Alpharetta Will Rock the Greenway Thursday

Cyclists of all ages will be educated on bicycle safety at Rock Mill Park.

Alpharetta will be rockin' the Greenway on Thursday, an event designed to teach the public about the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety's bicycle safety campaign.

The city and Bike Alpharetta Inc. will present the Rocking Greenway Gathering on Thursday, June 20, from 4-8 p.m. at Rock Mill Park.

Area residents and visitors are invited to learn about the department’s Bicycle Safety Campaign, get properly fitted for a bicycle helmet, and participate in cycling activities. This event is for interested cyclists of all ages.

Alpharetta’s Bicycle Safety Campaign is made possible by grant funding from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety.  The Department of Public Safety has recognzied the increase in cycling throughout the city. This grant progam is used as an opportunity to educate cyclists, drivers, and law enforcement officers alike to ensure that safety is the main focus of all users of the roadway.
