Alpharetta Fixes Malfunctioning Traffic Signals

For more than an hour some traffic signals at city intersections were flashing red.

UPDATE 2:20 p.m.: It took a little more than an hour, but the city fixed all the malfunctioning traffic signals in Alpharetta.

The City of Alpharetta is warning motorists that traffic signals at several major intersections in the city are currently malfunctioning.

These signals are currently in “flashing red mode” and should be treated by drivers as stop signs.  Motorists should use caution when approaching intersections.

City crews are working the problem and hope to have the situation resolved quickly, said Assistant City Administrator James Drinkard.
