Alpharetta Teens Accused of Smoking Pot at Mall

North Point Mall security officers report teens in mall parking deck to police.

Three teens were arrested for smoking marijuana in the North Point Mall parking deck on March 29.

According to an incident report by Alpharetta Police Officer P. Baldwin, mall security called to report six individuals were smoking marijuana at 8:08 p.m. Upon arrival, Lt. D. Deslinski discovered three one-ounce bags of suspected marijuana, a metal drug pipe and a plastic bottle converted to a bong, all in a backpack in the rear seat of a car with the three who were arrested.

Three of the individuals did not possess marijuana, and were allowed to leave or released to parents.

Cody R. Skinner, 19, of Alpharetta; Megan N. Blake, 19, of Alpharetta and Tristan R. Nault, 17, of Alpharetta, were arrested and cited with possession of less than one ounce of marijuana.

Alpharetta Police Find Forsyth Suspect Ready to Smoke

Alpharetta police assisted the Forsyth County Sheriff's Office serve an outstanding warrant on a Suwanee man who now faces a drug charge in Fulton County.

Officer J. Braithwaite of the Criminial Investigation Division reported that Forsyth Deputy N. Sotor on April 1 asked for Alpharetta's help in locating the suspect, who was a fugitive from justice. Sotor said the man was staying at Studio Plus Suites in Alpharetta.

At 6 p.m. the suspect was contacted in his hotel room and arrested on the outstanding warrant. Police found him sitting at a table in the room cutting marijuana and preparing to smoke.

Travis J. Rice, 28, of Suwanee, was arrested and cited for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana in Alpharetta, given a court date and then released into custody of the Forsyth deputy.
