A 19-year-old Roswell woman lost her job and found herself in jail after Alpharetta police say she admitted to stealing from her employer.
Alpharetta police were called to in North Point Mall on Aug. 2 at 2:22 p.m. after receiving a call from a store loss prevention officer. The store employee was accused of taking money from the end-of-day desposit on two occasions. Hollisters' corporate office told him that the store deposits were short on two occasions, according to the arresting officer's report.
The five employees who were working that day were questioned, and the loss prevention officer said one of them admitted to taking $900 out of the deposit bag on July 22 and $1,600 on July 26.
The suspect also admitted to taking several pieces of clothing during the two years she had wokred at the store.
The Alpharetta officer asked the suspect what was going on, and he reported she said, "I made some bad decisions." She told polie she needed the money for medical bills, braces and a court fee.
Javaria D. Keesee, 19, of Roswell, was charged with theft by taking greater than $500, a felony. She remains in Fulton County Jail.
Clothing, Marijuana Allegedly Found in Purse
A 24-year-old Atlanta woman was arrested on a felony theft by taking charge for allegedly stealing clothing from at North Point Mall.
A loss prevention officer reported seeing a woman stuffing clothing from Von Maur department store into her large purse on July 25.
The loss prevention officer lost track of her when she left the store, but another officer caught up with her. The suspect resisted the second officer, and tried to hide at Von Maur.
An Alpharetta police officer found 14 items in her purse for which she had no receipts, and a green leafy substance officers identified as marijuna.
Sabrina Cassandra Howard, 24, of Atlanta, was arrested for theft by taking over $500, a felony, and possession of marijuana–less than one ounce.
