Alpharetta Public Safety Thanks Local Businesses for Support

National Night Out called a success because these businesses helped out.

The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety presented an official letter of appreciation and a plaque to businesses that helped make the National Night out a success this summer.

"This is for their support and contribution to the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety in our endeavor to fight crime and provide the greatest possible service to the citizens and community we serve," said Gary George, director of the department.

He said the 2011 National Night Out was an outstanding success because of their participation.

"Your commitment to excellence in community partnership is admirable, and a fine example for all of our businesses," George said.

He had special thanks as he handed out plaques to the business representatives who were able to attend, particularly for David Montanaro of Performance Auto Collision, whom he called one of his best friends in the world.

"He's here every time we need something cooked, David brings his grill and about 14 employees, and Susan, his wife, and he cooks out. Three times this year I believe," George said.
