Alpharetta, Milton Police Aid Roswell SWAT In Hostage Situation

Roswell police have arrested Tyler Alexander Grogan for aggravated assault and false imprisonment.

The Roswell Police Department now have a suspect in custody after being called to the scene of a home invasion and hostage situation at the Aspen Pointe Apartment complex last night, May 2.

A third party called police at 10:22 p.m. last night when suspect, Tyler Alexander Grogan, 20,  allegedly broke into an apartment and took a female hostage. When police arrived Grogan is said to have fired shots at the officers, according to a statement released by the department. 

After the hostage escaped unharmed early this morning, local police entered the apartment, with the assistance of the Alpharetta Police Department SWAT team, and took Grogan into custody without further incident. The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office and the Milton Police Department also assisted Roswell in the situation.
