Alpharetta Couple Arrested after Leaving Kids Home Alone

The associate pastor of a Kimball Bridge Road church left the 2, 6 and 8 year old children home when they went to church.

A Wittenridge Drive couple were arrested after leaving their three children, who range in age from 2 to 8, at home alone when they went to church just before 6 a.m. on Jan. 27.

A resident of the same townhome development called Alpharetta police when she spotted a young boy who was approximately 3 years old wandering alone around the parking lot wearing shoes that were much too big for his feet.

When police arrived, an officer who handles a K-9 unit was asked to try to find the child's home. Officers soon spotted a couple who had arrived at the townhome complex and appeared to be looking for something. The couple said they were looking for their child, and had found the front door to the family's townhome open, and the other two children–ages 6 and 8–asleep inside.
