Accident Closes One Lane of Westside Parkway

A vehicle hit a fire hydrant, which forced Alpharetta to close one southbound lane on Westside Parkway just south of Cumming Street.

A single-vehicle accident has closed one southbound travel lane of Westside Parkway in Alpharetta.

The closure of the lane is just south of Cumming Street, and is due to an accident involving a vehicle that hit a fire hydrant, the city said. 

"The closure will remain in place until water to the hydrant is shutoff and repairs can be made," Alpharetta notes in its alert.

Fulton County water crews are in route to the location.
