Premier Viewing of BOXES

A View of Homelessness through the Eyes of Children

In support of National Homelessness and Awareness Week, HomeStretch is sponsoring an exclusive viewing of the short film, BOXES.  The film was produced and directed by Michael Buchanan, producer of Fat Boy Chronicles, a national award winning film on bullying.

On November 19th at 6:30pm, we will come together to see Eleven Powerful Minutes that will move you to consider the realities of homelessness from a fresh perspective; through the eyes of two young boys and their family.  The film director, producer and actors will be there to discuss how and why the film was made.

It will be a night of sharing in a premier film and joining important conversation about homelessness and the impact it has on families.   There will be community dialogue on how we can contribute effective solutions to help the homeless. 

 

This is also an opportunity for students to learn about homelessness, creative advocacy and filmmaking.  Coffee and dessert will be served.
