'New Year's Eve' Is One Party to Miss

This holiday movie bonanza with a massive, celebrity-stuffed cast is two hours you'll never get back.

No less than a dozen different story lines intertwine in the star-stuffed film "New Years Eve."

These stories are spliced together and made into a movie. The small stories include first kisses, midnight rendezvous, newborn babies, dying fathers, trapped strangers and husbands at war. The end result is a big, bloated cast of celebrities with very little to say, except, happy holidays.

So who's in the film ? Let's roll the credits…

Halle Berry, Jessica Biel, Jon Bon Jovi, Abigail Breslin, Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Robert De Niro, Josh Duhamel, Zac Efron, Hector Elizondo, Katherine Heigl, Ashton Kutcher, Seth Meyers, Lea Michele, Sarah Jessica Parker, Michelle Pfeiffer, Til Schweiger, Hilary Swank, Sofia Vergara, Ryan Seacrest, Matthew Broderick, Carla Gugino, John Lithgow, Sarah Paulson, Common, Alyssa Milano, Russell Peters, Jim Belushi, Yeardley Smith ... and on and on and on.

The film is two hours long and it feels like it. Garry Marshall directs plenty of good actors here, but unfortunately no one gets to break out and get into their character. The movie is about love and new beginnings, but there is not much to love about this film. Too many stars and not enough dialogue make for a very weak romantic comedy and I'm not laughing at all.

The flick-o-meter gives "New Year's Eve" a one out of five. There is plenty of star power to bring folks to the box office but trust me, it is two hours you will never get back. Let me hear what you have to say. Head over to Facebook and look for me on "TheBrettside."
