To John Berry,
Completely understand your post, but please do more research. You are stating things from the 1800's!! Us as humans were also completely different in the 1800's!!! Just because something was done in the past does not mean it has carried over into the future. Also There is no such thing as a lock jaw (pertaining to your comment as to pitbulls being able to bite and not let go!!). The German Shephard and Rottweiler can bite just as hard (if not harder) than a pitbull. You my friend are like everyone else in society who just joins the majority of votes. If you have never owned a Pitbull I would suggest you speak as an outsider instead of acting like you have all the facts on the breed.  Maybe people should teach their dogs (no matter what the breed) the proper way of behaving but also their children the proper way to treat an animal. Animals should not be hit, pulled ears, smacked, ridin etc.  All of a sudden people forgot about pitbulls being nanny dogs, and also the countless lives they have saved. But as long as people like you Mr. John Berry exist, this world will continue to NOT have their own voice. Oh and also I choose to own 2 Pitbulls, You're right I could own any dog in the world but why would I do that when I can own the best breed I have ever known!! :)
