Milton High School JV T&F Competes Well at Lassiter JV Meet

Multiple event wins pace Lady Eagles to victory, Boys finish 3rd

The Milton Eagle track teams took on The Walker School, Alatoona & Lassiter at the Trojans home track in Marietta with the Lady Eagles getting the upper hand (59.5 pts) against the other schools where the boys (20 pts) only led the Walker School (16 pts).

GIRLS

Wins in the Discus, 100m, 400m, 1600m & BOTH the 4x100m & 4x400 relays led the Lady eagles to victory.  Amina Ali accounted for two of the individual wins with her 13.78 in the 100m & 1:09.52 in the 400m, along with a 2nd place in the 200m. Alyssa Milton won a stirring race in the 1600m (6:24.75) to start the night off and recorded an 11-second personal best & Taylor Whittington won the discus by 4 inches (82’10”).

 

BOYS

The thrilling win by Brock Schutt in the 800m (2:09.60-a personal best) was the Eagles lone win in the meet. Strong runner-up performance by Jacques DuPlessis in the 1600m (4:47.89-a personal best) & the anchor leg on the B-4x400 relay team (3:56.03) along with a 4’10” high jump (5th)! The relay team members included Nolan English (also 3rd in the 800m), Zack Cammack (also 5th in the 800m) and Larry Liu (also 13th in the 800m).

 

For the majority of athletes competing tonite, their season concludes with this meet. A few will join the remaining varsity athletes on the Eagle track teams as they head in to the post-season calendar with the Fulton County Championships this Saturday & Monday at Westlake HS in Fairburn, GA.
