Varsity Boys

The Eagles ran a very strong team effort and with some very fast times were able to snag the last trophy winning sport (3rd-113 pts) to best 17 others schools. Milton put all five scorers in the top-38 to edge Pace Academy (4th-116 pts) and kept it close for the win! Mountain View HS (in Gwinnett County) was the team champion (1st-95 pts) followed by Mill Creek (2nd-101 pts).  Senior co-captain Kevin McGorrey ran upfront the entire race to record a 16:49 good for 5th place. There were 206 finishers.  Continuing to impress is the freshman Michael McCarthy. His 17:18 performance was the 2nd fastest freshman time in the race and put him in the medals at 17th place.  Backing these Eagles up were sophomore John Fravel (26th-17:38) & senior Brendan Kemple (27th-17:39). Closing out the scoring for Milton was the superb run by senior Peter Randall. The homecoming court member ran a 17:47 good enough for 38th place.  Also running varsity for Milton were sophomore John Jurgens (18:07-56th), senior co-captain Spencer Greene (18:13-61st), senior Ryan Keefe (18:39-90th), freshman Valera Stettner (18:51-101st), and junior Connor Greisinger (19:03-110th).

Varsity Girls

The Lady Eagles challenged for a trophy but fell just short in finishing 5th (129 pts) out of 20 scoring schools. Brookwood (1st-95 pts) won a tight battle with Pace Academy (2nd-96 pts) & North Atlanta (3rd-97 pts) as the first 3 schools were separated by only 3 points. Richmond Hill out of Augusta just edged Milton for 4th (123 pts).  Senior co-captain Abbey Jordan led the Lady Eagles as her front-running during the race was spectacular!  Jordan challenged for the win with less than 800 meters to go but settled for a hard-fought 5th place (19:41). Next to finish for Milton was the outstanding performance from senior Kim Toscano. Her 20:41 was good for 24th place.  A strong pack then followed for Milton as sophomore Anna Renko (31st-21:11), junior Hallie Howell (32nd-21:12) and junior Michelle Pick (37th-21:24) closed out the scoring.  Also running varsity for the Lady Eagles were senior co-captain Katie Robinson (49th-21:41), junior Hayden Estes (71st-22:37), senior co-captain Addie Luxton (78th-22:49), and seniors Madeline Bluth (83rd-22:58) & Sarah Hoffman (89th-23:24).
