It really is a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Finally, a day that feels like spring instead of the vaquely summer-like days we had in early March. And maybe we are out of the rainy week-ends trend, cause we need our weekends to be sunny and bright so we can play.
My play-time was happily kickstarted last night at the Roswell Pike's Nursery. From 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. this past Friday evening, all metro Atlanta Pike's locations were offering free Bellini's (yes, they had real champagne!) and cupcakes or fruit to all customers and 20% off everything in the store. Way to go Pike's! You are my new love. The store was packed, of course, and I was able to get some nice buys on fertilizers and implements for the community garden.
Spring play-time always includes lunch or dinner every weekend at a local restaurant that has a patio, or some kind of outdoor eating area. For me and my husband, here in Crabapple, that means or . We enjoy both. And our standard go-to restaurant here in Crabapple, the , appears to be building a patio section (do it! do it!). Our new favorite Latin restaurant, Boga Tacqueria, near Windward and Highway 9, also appears to have a patio. But restaurant owners, just remember this: we love your patio's, but please supply us with big patio umbrellas - a bit of shade is crucial to the eating outside experience.

So, off to enjoy my Saturday. I did all the yardwork on Wednesday last week, so looks like I'll have to take a long walk up to the Milton High School cross country trail and back.
