Update on new developments in Alpharetta & Milton, an interview with the Mayors

I had an opportunity to sit down with the mayor of Alpharetta, David Belle Isle and the mayor of Milton, Joe Lockwood and interview them on my weekly Real Estate Radio Show and discuss new developments in both cities.

I had an opportunity to sit down with the mayor of Alpharetta, David Belle Isle and the mayor of Milton, Joe Lockwood and interview them on my weekly Real Estate Radio Show.

David shared with us his vision for Downtown Alpharetta that is now coming together.  Downtown Alpharetta offers many live events to bring the community together which has driven the growth in restaurants and shops locating in the Downtown Alpharetta area.  There’s also a brand new City Hall, library and park.  What we find really exciting are the new developments that are coming this summer that will feature commercial real estate on the lower level and residential condos above, giving residents an opportunity to live right in Downtown Alpharetta with easy walking to events, shops, grocery, library, restaurants and coffee bars and more.

Joe Lockwood shared with us the new developments coming in the Crabapple area of Milton, such as new City Hall, parks and additional shops, restaurants and residences.  Joe shared with us his challenge to balance the rural and equestrian feel that attracts most residents to Milton with the new development.  There are many new single family homes currently being built in Milton as a result of the pent up demand from the past 5 years of almost no building.  Milton has just hired a planner to assist with creating a master plan for Milton to balance the new growth.
