Skip Cooking Turkey, Celebrate Thanksgiving at a Local Restaurant

Would you rather skip the big turkey dinner preparations – and the monumental cleanup – this week and just go out to eat? There are quite a few choices in Alpharetta and Milton. And most will be serving traditional Thanksgiving fare.

Facebook friend Kelli Sheffler said The Diner at Northpoint, Golden Corral and "of course there's always Waffle House" in response to a call for restaurants open on the holiday.

The Diner at Northpoint, at the intersection of North Point Parkway and Mansell Road, will be open normal business hours and serving a traditional holiday dinner.

Buc di Pepo, just the other side of Atlantic Seafood from The Diner at Northpoint, will open at 11 a.m. for what it calls "a traditional Buca style Thanksgiving."

Go north on North Point Parkway from there to just a bit past the Haynes Bridge Road intersection and you'll see Golden Corral in Alpharetta, which is open and offering a Thanksgiving buffet.

Downtown Alpharetta's La Casa Italian Grill is taking reservations for a traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

Close to downtown Alpharetta in the Alpharetta Crossing Shopping Center, Alpha Soda has a Thanksgiving menu with all of the holiday favorites. The restaurant will be open from 8 a.m. -2 p.m.

Hudson Grille on North Main Street south of Windward Parkway is open on Thanksgiving and, like many of these restaurants, is taking reservations online via Open Tables

Thanksgiving at Ray’s on the Creek starts at 11 a.m. and ends at 9 p.m.

The restaurant will offer an abbreviated dinner menu as well as special Thanksgiving selections.  For reservations, call 770-649-0064.
