Milton Kicks Off Holiday Season with Tree Lighting
The city's tree will be lit up for the holidays at the corner of Webb Road and GA 9.
Milton's Mayor Joe Lockwood used the help of several council members and all the children present to light the city's tree Saturday night.
Several dozen children joined the mayor in counting down to light the tree. Having enjoyed hot chocolate and hot popcorn, the kids were ready for the next event in the holiday celebration: the arrival of Santa Claus on a Milton Fire Department truck.
Santa didn't disappoint, and spent the next hour listening to every child's wish list, and posing for photos with jolly old Saint Nick.
